What is a sprig of flowers mean?

My Dad is supposed to bring a sprig of flowers to a funeral. Does anyone know what that is?

What is a sprig of flowers mean?
A sprig is usually just one small stem, not a bouquet at all. If it is to lay on a casket, then the custom is to bring just a single beautiful flower, i.e., one rose, or one lily, or one stem of anything pretty from your garden, or one of the deceased%26#039;s favorite flower, whatever that may be...
Reply:it is a small bunch of flowers
Reply:sprig (sprg)
